While heavy-duty chemicals can cause harm to your home, the safer alternatives are much more effective. For most types of roof, it’s best to hire a roof cleaner that’s experienced and skilled.

Bleach-based chemicals should not be used on your roof. They are safe for humans, but can cause allergies. If you decide to clean your roof yourself, you should use an ecofriendly cleaner. These chemicals can cause harm to animals and plants. These cleaners should not be used in homes that have exteriors. A cleaner made from biodegradable materials will last for longer. You can also clean your roof using a bleach-based cleaning agent. This chemical can cause damage to plants and is extremely abrasive. It’s best to use a milder chemical, such as a solution designed for roof cleaning. You can also mix bleach and water. You can also dilute the solution with water if it is stronger. This will prevent any damage to the shingles. This will allow you to save money.

Although pressure washing is an option for metal roofs it is not recommended for shingle roofs. It can cause damage to the shingles. It can also cause roof damage.
